Timesplitters 2

Introduction: The original Timesplitters was an interesting FPS that was released during the launch of the Playstation 2. It was interesting, but did not have enough single player modes and gameplay to satisfy fans of the genre. Now, Free Radical is preparing a sequel, and it looks pretty good.

Main Preview: The first thing that is noticeable about Timesplitters 2 is that it has a very cartoonish look. It makes the game look different from other FPS’, but the game still looks great. The textures are great and mixed with the cartoonish characters creates an interesting look. The game seems to be similar to the first one, as many freaky looking enemies are bound to attack you. The main concern is whether or not the game will have enough depth or not.

My Thoughts: The original was a bit lacking, but the sequel is still looking great. The graphics are improved over its predecessor and the environments look great. The main concern I have is whether or not the single player mode will have enough depth to keep players interested.

Last Words: Timesplitters 2 is looking great, and should be way better than the original. As long as the game can have enough depth in the single player mode with at least a satisfactory multi-player mode, Timesplitters 2 could be great. The game is currently set for release later this year.
