Date: 1/17/03 Introduction: Like many great action and adventure games, Panzer Dragoon Orta has many great featured to be unveiled. Many innovations have been made. Much content of the game has been released, and we are able to give you a great conclusion. Main Preview: The game is looking pretty well so far. A girl is imprisoned by an evil force, and uses the power of dragons to escape the confines. The story has a great meaning, and it shows a base. Up to this point, no main defect has been found, as the core of the game has already been developed. The graphics have been created to the maximum intent; something which would probably not surprise today's gamer. The genre of Panzer Dragoon Orta can only be a mixture of adventure and RPG. The whole game features using dragons to conquer the skies, or to explore it. Usually the missions we infer from the screenshots are shooting enemies or saving massive areas from destruction from massive ships. The theme is along those lines throughout. The levels are longer than most in other adventure games. There are many different areas which can be explored; which has to be done carefully. My Thoughts: I find the storyline the most interesting part of the game. It is unique to adventure games of its type. In demos, the gameplay is quite rough and can be hard. This is a pointer I think is not beneficial for the game, since gamers would be discouraged from continuing. The graphics pleased me as well as other recipients. Still, the game pertains more towards action and adventure more than a role-playing game. It follows the focus of most Xbox games, and cuts in more to the action. The content is violent, but intriguing. Although Panzer Dragoon Orta follows the trend of most Xbox games, it has some differences. There is a more cumulative battle system, although it is not made in a turn-based style. I find that Panzer Dragoon Orta is an innovative game for Xbox, and hope that Xbox gamers find it innovative also. I feel that the game will help bring real role-playing games to Xbox.
